Title
Golden Temple series 7
Artist
Uma Krishnamoorthy
Medium
Painting - Oil On Linen
Description
The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is a Gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism.
The Golden Temple is an open house of worship for all men and women, from all walks of life and faith.
In this painting, I have tried to capture the temple and its reflection in the surrounding waters, during night. The atmosphere at the Golden Temple is always peaceful and very lively at the same time and somehow that is not an oxymoron.
