My Bhutan series, gives you a glimpse of what I saw and experienced during my travel to Bhutan.
The tiny Himalayan kingdom is doing something so right that I thought that it deserves to be highlighted, hence this series.
Bhutan has shown the rest of the world that it is possible to care for the environment, conserve and protect nature, have a net zero greenhouse gas emissions and breathe in fresh air at all times.
The country has a national policy to have at least 60% of the area under forest cover at all times. Presently it has an area of 72% under forest cover. By having such a policy they have been able to mainstream the concern for the environment. They see it as their responsibility to the future generations.

The urge to sketch, draw and paint has been there since childhood and I loved every minute of the time spent on drawing and painting. But, to take up painting as a full time career, was considered nothing short of fiddling on the roof. And maybe, in some sense it is true, particularly when there are practicalities of life to deal with. After two decades of a "real" job as a banker, I decided to quit banking and follow my heart, finally.
