Description
The Art Society of India had organized a plein air painting tour at Devrukh, Sangameshwar and Ratnagiri – all on the Western Ghats of India. A few artists including me, participated in this tour.
Devrukh in the Konkan region is a quiet town with lush greenery, clean air and cool, pleasant days.
“Red house” is a painting of a winding road in Devrukh with abundant greenery, and a red brick house, so typical of the region. This painting has been done using oil pastels on Canson heavy weight paper.
